Leading the conversation: Mental health leadership in construction
Leaders and supervisors play a critical role in shaping a culture where mental health is prioritized and supported. This session will explore how to lead with empathy, recognize early signs of stress or struggle, and confidently start meaningful conversations with team members. Attendees will gain practical tools for responding in the moment, connecting workers to available resources, and reinforcing a culture of trust and respect on the jobsite.
Special emphasis will be placed on building inclusive, supportive workplace cultures and ensuring that mental health resources are accessible to everyone on-site — regardless of role, background or language. By strengthening leadership skills and normalizing these conversations, participants will be better equipped to reduce stigma, support their teams, and create a safer, healthier and more productive work environment.
